Second Serve

After running a trial with coach Jonas Bjorkman at Delray Beach, former World No.3 Milos Raonic is spending time with Goran Ivanesivic at Indian Wells, reports Tennis Life’s Stephanie Myles.

Raonic has had been hampered by injuries over the last two seasons and has now seen his ranking slip to 38 in the world. The Canadian is 1-3 on the season but at just 27 there is a ton of upside to his game if he can get his body to stop sabotaging his game.

Ivanisevic has a great reputation as a coach due to his work with Marin Cilic, which started in September of 2013, long before the Croatian won the 2014 U.S. Open. He helped Cilic improve his serve and remained a fixture on his team until the summer of 2016.

According to Tennis Life, Raonic’s plan was to work with Bjorkman, whom he paired with at the Delray Beach Open, and Ivanisevic, and decide on a path from there.

Raonic will learn his place in the BNP Paribas Open draw on Tuesday when the draw is released at 3 PM Pacific time. Raonic reached the final at Indian Wells in his last appearance in 2016 and owns a 16-6 record at the event.

He did not play last year due to a hamstring injury.
