Azarenka, Williams Hit Back at Moore's Sexist Comments
“I said in Australia, it's going to be a process, and I still believe that I'm not there where I want to be,”
Azarenka told WTA Insider
Courtney Nguyen
after taking the title over Serena Williams in straight sets on Sunday in the desert
. “I'm getting there and I'm getting closer and I'm improving, but knowing that I could just be better gets me excited. That's what helps me wake up in the morning and go after it. There is nothing else I want to do in life right now but give myself the best chance I can to be able to chase my dreams.”
Azarenka rises from 15 to 8 in the rankings, and comes in at No. 3 in the Road to Singapore leaderboard.
