The former world No. 1 underwent back surgery in October 2017. Rehab sidelined her for the entire 2018 and 2019 seasons.
The 35-year-old Jankovic says the "door is open" for a possible return to the WTA Tour though she isn't committing to a comeback.
"I've made a full recovery but I don't know if this is a comeback," Jankovic said. "This is the first time I've held a tennis racquet in a very long time and I was as overjoyed as a child in a candy shop.
"The door is open [for a comeback], I never officially retired but I am living a different life now."
Jankovic and Djokovic defeated Serbian Davis Cup captain Nenad Zimonjic and 19-year-old Olga Danilovic 7-6 in the mixed doubles exhibition.
