A painful Wimbledon opening-round exit turned frightening for Kevin Anderson.
The 20th-seeded South African, who fell to Denis Istomin in his opener, revealed angry gamblers, who apparently lost money on Anderson's match, issued "a ton of death threats" to him on social media afterward.

A year ago, Anderson opened a two-set lead over Novak Djokovic in the Wimbledon round of 16 before bowing in five sets to the eventual-champion, 6-7 (6), 6-7 (6), 6-1, 6-4, 7-5.
The 25th-ranked Anderson, who underwent ankle surgery on March 15th, tweeted he has received support from "good people" after the death threats.
