Before Roger Federer and Serena Williams each earned GOAT status, they were awestruck tennis fans just like us.

In celebration of the 50th anniversary of the US Open, the Flushing Meadows major posted video of the young Federer and young Serena reflecting on what meeting legendary champions have meant to them.

The 36-year-old Serena, who fell to Angelique Kerber in the Wimbledon final on Saturday, will be playing to equal Margaret Court's all-time record of 24 Grand Slam singles titles at next month's US Open.

Federer, who celebrates his 37th birthday on August 8th, already settled the GOAT debate earlier this year.
