Andy Murray has withdrawn from Wimbledon. The two-time champion, who began his comeback after hip surgery two weeks ago at Queen’s Club, has elected to pull out of the draw.

“It is with heavy heart that I’ll be withdrawing from Wimbledon this year,” Murray wrote on social media. “I’ve made significant progress in matches over the last ten days, but after lengthy discussion with my team, we’ve decided that playing best of five set matches might be a bit too soon in the discovery process."
