The tennis center will feature eight courts, clay of course, with programs available for players of all skill levels.
"I’m very happy that we are officially announcing the opening of a new Rafa Nadal Tennis Centre in Greece as it consolidates the Academy’s global expansion project," Nadal said. "I would like to thank Sani Resort for the trust it has placed our team; I’m sure this partnership will be a success, particularly for tennis fans, who I would like to invite to come and enjoy this wonderful facility, starting from the month of April."
The goal is to provide high-quality tennis coaching so that guests and residents of the area can play and take lessons customized to their level.
The Rafa Nadal Tennis Centre aims to apply the techniques the world No. 2 and his coaching staff have incorporated during his 15-year career.
For quality control, all of the coaching staff at the new Rafa Nadal Tennis Centre will spend two months in Manacor, Mallorca starting in February, learning the methodology that has been implemented at the Rafa Nadal Academy by Movistar.
Sani Resort, located less than one hour from Thessaloniki, a capital of European culture, has established itself as one of the biggest holiday destinations in the Mediterranean.
The inauguration in April will be the opening of the second Rafa Nadal Tennis Centre, after the first opened its doors last December in Costa Mujeres, to the north of Cancun, Mexico.
