Victoria Azarenka has reportedly hired a new coach.
According to a press release from Sacramento State University, longtime coach Slava Konikov has left the school to become Azarenka’s coach.
Konikov, from Minsk, Belarus, has previously coached Max Mirnyi, Vladimir Voltchkov and Tatiana Poutchek.
The hiring is another sign that Azarenka could be close to returning to the WTA Tour. In early January, TMZ reported that the former No.1 and two-time major champion had won a major victory in her custody case over her newborn son, Leo.
There has been no official statement from Azarenka but she did post these super-cool practice pics on Monday.
