Indoor queen Anett Kontaveit has cracked a new milestone this week. The Estonian, who has now won 20 consecutive indoor matches after claiming the title at St. Petersburg on Sunday (d. Sakkari in the final), rises to a career-high ranking of No.6.

Kontaveit told Courtney Nguyen, WTA Insider, that she’s most proud of the way she has been able to continue the successful tennis that she established in the second half of 2021.
“I'm very happy to be able to continue this form last year to this year and keep a consistently high level,” she said. “I think that's the thing that I'm most proud of because I think I think every time a new year starts, you sort of have these doubts and you're not so sure how the year is going to go. But I'm really happy that I've been able to play good tennis and also have positive results this year.”
Kontaveit is the biggest riser in the WTA’s Top-20 this week.
Jelena Ostapenko (+4 from 25 to 21) and Elise Mertens (+4 from 26 to 22) are the biggest risers inside the Top-50.
Kaja Juvan (+ 10, from 102 to 92) made the biggest jump inside the top-100. The Slovenian remains six spots from her career high, however.
The biggest drop inside the Top-100 was Poland’s Magda Linette – she lost 26 spots as her points from winning Hua Hin last year came off, and dropped from 45 to 71.
Daria Kasatkina dropped seven spots from 21 to 28, the biggest drop inside the Top-50.
