Benoit Paire took racquet capital punishment to an extreme in an epic meltdown.

In the nation's capital, a raging Paire smashed nearly every stick in his bag creating racquet carnage at the Citi Open.

Benoit went bonkers obliterating three racquets, kicking his court-side bench in disgust and tanking match point by failing to play a return.

The mayhem all went down in a 6-3, 3-6, 6-2 loss to Marcos Baghdatis, who once set the Australian Open record for rapid-fire racquet destruction during a changeover.

After incurring a code violation, Paire stomped on the bench, spiked another racquet to the court sending a ball kid scurrying for cover then plopped in his seat covering his head in his hands while Baghdatis came over to try to offer come consolation.

Paire, who will undoubtedly be hit with a hefty fine for his meltdown, trudged off the court to a chorus of boos and responded blowing kisses to the crowd.
