It will be the 17-year-old Gauff's first appearance in Strasbourg and her final clay-court event before the French Open begins.
Last fall, Gauff knocked off ninth-seeded Johanna Konta to win her Roland Garros main-draw debut match before bowing to Martina Trevisan, 7-5 in the third set, in round two.
Roland Garros, which postponed by a week this year, is set to start on May 30th.
