The 90th-ranked Argentinean knocked off top-seeded Roberto Bautista Agut 7-6(4), 7-6(3) in the round of 16 and arrived in his maiden ATP final sweeping all eight sets he played this week.
The 2019 Gstaad champion Ramos-Vinolas broke for a 3-1 first set lead and was not challenged on serve as he snatched a one-set lead.
The 28-year-old Cachin answered reeling off eight straight games to take the second set and go up 2-0 in the third.
The left-hander Spaniard won five of the next seven games to take a 5-4 lead.
Undaunted, Cachin ended the match on a three game run for his first title.
