The Czech claims her third singles title overall, and her first since 2017.

In what turned out to be the second longest WTA final of 2022, at three hours and six minutes, Siniakova rallied from a set and a break down to earn her third Top-25 victory over the season, and the 23rd of her career.

The 82nd-ranked Czech converted five of nine break points in the match. She rallied from 4-3 down in the second set and forced a decider by converting her third set point in the second set tiebreak.

After a trade of breaks in the final set, Siniakova won eight of the final nine points against the World No.25 to clinch her victory.

Siniakova recently won the US Open doubles title, completing the career Grand Slam with her partner Barbora Krejcikova. The pair are a perfect 18-0 at Grand Slam events this season, with titles at the Australian Open and Wimbledon as well as the US Open.
