Patience and precision propelled Ann Li back to final Sunday.

The 60th-ranked American converted five of 18 break-point chances carving up Alize Cornet 6-2, 6-1 charging into the inaugural Tenerife Ladies Open final.

It is the second career final for Li, who won her maiden WTA title at the Grampians Trophy event in Melbourne last February.




A year ago at this time, Li was ranked No. 112. Her inspired run to the Tenerife final vaults Li to a current career-high rank of No. 52 in the live rankings.

The 21-year-old Li will face 19-year-old Colombian Maria Camila Osorio Serrano in tomorrow's final. Osorio Serrano was a 6-4, 7-5 victor over fourth-seeded Italian Camila Giorgi.
