Angelique Kerber has wrapped up the WTA’s year-end No. 1 ranking and Player of the Year awards.
The German, just the third left-hander and 22nd player to ever claim the WTA’s No.1 ranking, was voted the Tour’s player of the year by a panel of media and fans.
Kerber owns a 59-17 record on the season and the 28-year-old will be making her fourth WTA Finals appearance at this year’s WTA Finals.
Serena Williams has won the Player of the Year award for each of the last four years, and six of the last eight.

The WTA also handed out its awards for Most Improved Player, Comeback Player of the Year and Newcomer of the Year and Doubles Team of the Year on Friday in Singapore.
