Win Your Way Into Delray Beach Tournament

You may never step into Juan Martin del Potro's shoes, but now you can follow in the footsteps of the ATP's Comeback Player of the Year.

Del Potro launched his successful return to tournament tennis in Delray Beach in February.

Next weekend, the Delray Beach Open is offering an invitation to the amateur tennis-playing community to play in its annual Survivor event, a pre-qualifying wild card tournament scheduled for November 19-22 at the Pro World Tennis Academy in Delray Beach.

Any player who thinks he's got game can enter the USTA Florida Men's Open-sanctioned hard court tournament that annually attracts a pool of talent from local club players and club pros to current college players and nationally-ranked juniors.

The prize is an opportunity to play the 2017 Delray Beach Open in the same field as del Potro, Milos Raonic, Jack Sock, Steve Johnson and 2015 champion Ivo Karlovic.

The deadline to enter the single-elimination Survivor event is Wednesday, November 16, at 11:59 pm EST. To register, please visit this Survivor registration link.

All participants receive two complimentary tickets to the 2017 Delray Beach Open ATP Champions Tour matches and a discount on tickets to additional sessions.

The Survivor winner receives a wild card into the 16-player singles qualifying tournament of the 2017 Delray Beach Open, where the top four finishers move on to the main draw of the $575,000 ATP World Tour event.

This is the lone Survivor tournament that will be held for the 2017 Delray Beach Open.

The 10-day Delray Beach Open is set for February 17 -26, and includes an ATP Champions Tour event featuring tennis legends.
