Dominic Thiem reached into his bag of tricks to convert this match point against Lucas Miedler on Wednesday in Austria.

Question: If I tweener is strick in an empty court, did anyone see it?
Answer: Yes, indeed!

The match took place at the Generali Austrian Pro Series, an eight-player event which also features other top Austrians such as Jurgen Melzer, Sebastian Ofner, Juri Rodionov, Denis Novak and others.

Thiem claimed a 6-1 6-2 win over Miedler.

“The Generali Austrian Pro Series is a great initiative for Austrian tennis,” Thiem said in an interview for Red Bull, one of his key sponsors. “I think it's very important for all the players, because these are the first official matches in three months. At some point the tour will continue and the more matches we have in our legs, the better it is for us players. From that point of view it's very important and we can only thank the people who started the tournament.”
