“I’m beyond thrilled to receive a wild card into a tournament of this magnitude,” Brengle told the Oracle Challenger Series website. “The opportunity that Oracle is affording American players like myself to earn prize money and the chance to play at the sport’s biggest events is incredible. I’m excited to see what I can do here next week.”
The 77th-ranked American won the Newport Beach stop on the Oracle Challenger Series in January. Brengle's performance in Indian Wells, combined with compatriots' losses, sealed her BNP Paribas Open wild card.
