When one player is on his bum and the other is racing across the court to finish off an amazing rally, you know grass season is in full swing.

Case in point: This rollicking gem of a point between Dominic Thiem and Maxmiliam Marterer. This exchange had a little bit of everything, and improbably Marterer was able to keep the point alive after falling, only to be denied by Thiem, who finishes this inspiring rally with a dagger of a dropper to bring the crowd to its feet.

Thiem went on to claim the 7-5, 6-3 victory over the German and will face either Robin Haase or David Ferrer in the second round.
