Roger Federer will return to Perth to help the Hopman Cup celebrate its 30th birthday next January. And he’ll be joined by his partner from last season, Belinda Bencic.

The Hopman Cup proved to be the perfect Australian Open warmup for Federer, who won his 18th major title at Melbourne just over two weeks after opening his season in Perth.

Earlier this year, 103,167 fans flocked to Perth Arena to watch one of the most successful events in the tournament's history. Federer, making his first appearance in 15 years at Perth, headlined a session that drew a record 13,917 fans. Bencic shared her excitement about the event by sharing this photo of herself and Federer.

The rest of the player field is expected to be announced in October.
