Coronavirus has ended Frances Tiafoe's World TeamTennis season before it began.
The world No. 81, who contracted COVID-19 on Saturday, has been ruled out of World TeamTennis' 2020 season, the league announced today.

The 22-year-old Tiafoe was scheduled to be a singles starter for the Washington Kastles.
“Washington Kastles player Frances Tiafoe, having tested positive for COVID-19 within the advance travel testing window, is ineligible to compete in the 2020 World TeamTennis season,” WTT CEO Carlos Silva said in a statement.
The 45th season of World TeamTennis will be contested at The Greenbrier “America’s Resort” in White Sulphur Springs, W.V.
WTT says each player will play the entire three-week regular season, scheduled for July 12-30th, with the WTT Semifinals set for August 1st and WTT Final to follow August 2nd.
Hall of Famer Kim Clijsters, Venus Williams, Australian Open champion Sofia Kenin, US Open champ Sloane Stephens, Milos Raonic, Monica Puig, Genie Bouchard and twins Mike and Bob Bryan are among the stars signing on for the season.
