Corentin Moutet is amazing with a racquet in his hands, but equally amazing when he exchanges that racquet for a microphone.

The 21-year-old Frenchman joined the Lucky Letcord Podcast to talk about how he dealt with the difficulty of quarantine by diving into his passion for music like he never had before. The World No.75 always had a love for music (He loves the classic French lyricists like Jacques Brel and Charles Azvenour), but he didn't bring his own flavor to the world with force until the coronavirus pandemic shut down tennis and gave him the time to fully put his heart and soul into it.



The result is two new singles, splashed onto the internet...

We caught up with Moutet while he was staying in the South of France and training for the Ultimate Tennis Showdown.

Moutet gave us his views on what French music and literature mean to him, and how he came to write his first single about his brother. As it turns out Moutet was finally was in Paris, with nothing but time, but quarantine still kept the pair apart. He says he wrote the song in about two hours.

Moutet also gives his views on racial equality, a topic that he dedicated his second single to. The Frenchman is one of the white voices that has stepped up to support the movement. He tells us he simply can't understand why people get treated differently in this world just on the basis of skin color. It's ridiculous, he says.
