As reported by Punto de Break, Ferrero will join the German’s technical team per a press release from JC Ferrero Equelite - the Spanish great’s tennis academy.

"Alexander Zverev is a different player," said the former No. 1. “It’s a challenge that fills me with enthusiasm and desire to do my best.”

Ferrero, who won Roland Garros in 2003, stayed for eight weeks at No. 1 in the world. Ferrero won 16 career titles before retiring in 2012.

Zverev, who won the Rome Masters event earlier this spring, is currently the youngest man inside the ATP top 20.

The 20-year-old Zverev will start the summer hard court swing at the upcoming Citi Open in Washington, D.C.
