Bernard Tomic is a self-professed confusing tennis player and person. The 24-year-old Aussie makes no bones about it during this exclusive interview with Melissa Doyle on the program “Sunday Night,” which aired on Australia’s Channel 7.

During the 25-minute feature Tomic gives a candid confessional, going into the origins of his bad behavior, how he feels about his recent comments at Wimbledon and how he feels about other topics, such as Pat Rafter, Davis Cup, his proclivity for partying, and whether or not he feels Australian.

Tomic has long been the subject of criticism because of perpetual controversial comments and actions, but he has received a bit of sympathy after his recent Wimbledon comments, because he is one of the rare athletes that actually says what he feels when he talks to the media. On one hand the media love him for his candor and his ability to generate tabloid clicks, on the other hand media and pundits crush him every time he opens up, labeling him a slacker or a "good kid gone bad."

Is there any hope for Tomic the tennis player? What about Tomic the person? It certainly isn’t a bad thing that he sat down and did this extended interview to tell his side of his complicated story.

Have a look and listen and tell us what you think. Then you can weigh in on the poll below.
