How’s this for starting out a match in style? Watch as Yang Zhaoxuan’s opening serve of the Hobart doubles final actually knocks the net to the ground? Have you ever seen something so preposterous and wonderful to begin a tennis match?

Yang and her partner Gabriela Dabrowski rode that momentum to a first-set bagel but ended up dropping the title match to Raluca Olaru and Olga Savchuk, 0-6, 6-4, 10-5.

It was the second WTA title for Olaru and Savchuk, but surely the strangest beginning to a final.
