Nothing says mixed doubles better than double ‘tweener. Nick Kyrgios took care of the hard part while Daria Gavrilova looked in with a smile on this point during Hopman Cup action in Perth on Tuesday. The shots were nice, but not nice enough to win the point.

The Czech duo of Adam Pavlasek and Lucie Hradecka took the match—and the victory—2-1.

Kyrgios defeated Pavlasek in the men’s singles, 7-5, 6-4, but when he broke down the match with reporters it became clear that he’s not quite at 100 percent.

“I guess I was doing some training, and just the load, coming back into it after the off-season,” said Kyrgios of the injury to his left knee, which was taped during competition. “Nothing really serious.”
