Boris Becker is unsure of his status as Novak Djokovic's coach.
The Hall of Famer told The Daily Mail's Mike Dickson he's not sure if he will return as the second-ranked Serbian's head coach in 2017.
"We are in the process, but I can't tell you anything more than that," Becker told The Daily Mail. "I couldn't tell you yes and I couldn't tell you no."
Becker, who has guided Djokovic to six of his 12 career Grand Slam titles, sometimes spoke in the past tense when speaking about his relationship with the man who completed the career Grand Slam with his Roland Garros triumph last June.
"I truly enjoyed the last three years, I had a blast," Becker said. "I was in my element and I will continue to be in my element in the future. No regrets, it was an unbelievable ride."
Becker believes world No. 1 Andy Murray will begin to feel the burden of the top spot next spring.
"I still think he is going to be riding the wave coming to Australia, and in the American events in March, because that was the only time he played badly this year," Becker said. "I think he is going to start to feel it in May. It’s one thing playing up with nothing to lose but it’s a whole new ball game when you’ve got something to lose, the consequences of being world No 1. There are responsibilities and expectations so it becomes more strenuous. But I think he will be fine until the clay court swing."
