JC Aragone and celebrity chef Anne Burrell are serving up hunger relief tomorrow.

Aragone and Food Network Star Burrell will host a live stream cooking show in the TennisONE App on Friday, April 24th at 6 p.m. Eastern time to help fund City Harvest, which fights hunger in New York City.

The TennisONE App, owned by sports tech startup Bleachr, will donate a dollar per download with Aragone’s initial donation of 925 pounds of food for City Harvest group. TennisONE app users will also have the ability to donate to City Harvest to help fight hunger in New York City.

“JC’s generous idea melted our hearts. What a wonderful way to help people who are really hurting right,” said Kristin Geer, TennisONE’s Chief Executive Officer. “We are honored to host the live stream with JC and Chef Anne Burrell and to see our new TennisONE App used in such a meaningful way.”

The TennisONE App, which launched in January, won the Tennis Industry Association’s 2020 Innovation Challenge Award before COVID-19 shut down live sports. TennisONE quickly pivoted to use the app to live stream ATP and WTA Tour Players as a way to connect the tennis community during the coronavirus crisis.

Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Aragone grew up playing tennis in California before attending the University of Virginia, where he helped lead the Cavaliers to three NCAA team titles. Aragone was also awarded the 2019 Oracle US Tennis Award to support his transition from college to the ATP professional tour.

New York City chef Anne Burrell is a well-known personality on the Food Network, hosting shows such as Worst Cooks in America and Secrets of a Restaurant Chef. She’s a former instructor at the Institute of Culinary Education, and the author of two best-selling cookbooks.

For every download of the TennisONE App between now and Friday’s charity special live stream, TennisONE will donate a dollar to City Harvest.
