The ITF announced that it has relaunched the official website of its global participation campaign Tennis Play and Stay. The makeover is part of the ITF’s overall strategy to redesign its whole family of websites, following on from the relaunch of the official ITF website, and the sites for Davis Cup and Fed Cup.

The ATP today announced the extension of their partnership with HEAD for a further five years. Under the agreement, HEAD will continue to be the official tennis ball of the ATP World Tour, as well as the official ball of the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals, through 2017.

Adidas AG reported a 14 percent rise in third quarter earnings but lowered its full year revenue forecast due to declines of its Reebok brand and the National Hockey League lockout in North America. It had previously forecast a full year rise of around 10 percent but now expects revenues to increase high single digits.

The awards' first eight players will receive their trophies at the 2012 Final, to be held in Prague November 16-18, 2012.

In light of Hurricane Sandy, HEAD Penn is extending an additional 30 days dating on open invoices for all retailers current in their billing to help cash flow during this difficult time. Retailers affected in Delaware north to Massachusetts (including eastern Pennsylvania) will be included.

This week's tennis birthdays include legend Roy Emerson, the resurgent Ana Ivanovic, and current Ukranian phenom Alexandr Dolgopolov.
