The Art of Tennis: Vintage Posters Up For Auction


Just in time for the summer hard-court tour leading up to the US Open, Swann Auction Galleries in New York is presenting a feast for the eyes during its annual summer Vintage Posters auction, to be held August 6.

The large collection features a treasure trove of some 70-plus tennis posters, each available for purchase. This private Australian collection likely represents the largest group ever offered in a single auction. Posters range in value from $400 to $20,000 and date back to the early 1900s. A selection of these unique works of vintage art can be seen below.
