(April 25, 2011) Mardy Fish's stay in the ATP Top 10 was a short one - just one week thanks to Spain's Nicolas Almagro.
By making the semifinals of the Barcelona field, Almagro vaulted Fish for the No. 10 spot, once again giving Spain three members of the elite field, and making it another week without an American man in the Top 10.
Spain is easily the most-prolific country featured in the ATP rankings - with Barcelona champion Rafael Nadal #1, Barcelona runner-up David Ferrer #6, Almagro 10th, and four more players ranked inside the Top 30.
The biggest mover in the Top 50 was Croatia's Ivan Dodig, who reached the Barcelona semifinals and climbed 12 spots to No. 44.
The biggest fall in the Top 100 was The Netherlands' Thiemo de Bakker, who dropped 18 spots to No. 81.
A trio of 250-point tournaments are underway this week - the BMW Open in Munich, the Serbia Open in Belgrade and the Estroil Open in Portugal, all on clay.
