Ana Ivanovic
was taken down in the quarterfinals today against challenger

, 6-4, 7-6. While Bartoli is currently ranked high than Ivanovic, Ana was widely considered to be on a roll during this tournament and was expected to make a run at her No. 1 spot once again.

match-up later this evening.
Ivanovic comes off of a great win over
Jelena Jankovic
, during which she certainly shined like in her glory days. However, after several faults during this game and a powerful match played by Bartoli, we won’t be seeing her again until Miami.
