Querrey cranked 11 aces and permitted just six points on serve toppling 6'11" Ivo Karlovic, 7-6 (5), 7-6 (4), to power into the New York Open semifinals.
Querrey beat Karlovic for the sixth time in seven meetings.
The US Open quarterfinalist will face Adrian Mannarino for a spot in Sunday's final.
The fourth-seeded Frenchman was a 7-5, 2-6, 6-3 victor over Spanish qualifier Adrian Menendez-Maceiras.
The left-handed Mannarino has successfully targeted Querrey's two-handed backhand winning all three of their prior matches, including a compelling 7-6 (4), 7-6 (5), 6-7 (5), 6-4 win at the 2013 US Open.
Before Querrey advanced to his first semifinal of the season, he chatted with Tennis Now about a potential rivalry reunion in New York.
