Nadal

Rafael Nadal the Roland Garros favorite? Apparently, that is what Boris Becker believes. This, plus bongos, swimsuits and Valentines in the Weekly Fuzz

A quick trek through a very busy week, both on the court and on the sandy beaches, in tennis and social media:

1. Rafa’s the Roland Garros favorite? According to @WeAreTennis, that’s what Novak’s former coach has said:

2. Speaking of the big four, how about Kei Nishikori? Is he really getting closer to Roger’s level? What does that even mean?

3. It worked in Perth, so why shouldn’t it work in Rotterdam? BONGO CAM! Love the energy of these participants.

4. Maybe no tan lines for Caroline Wozniacki, but there could quite possibly be a lot of little tan “circles” judging from this photo.

5. This was the most interesting thing we read all week from Rotterdam. It’s Alexander Zverev and Dominic Thiem talking about tennis balls after their match. Can you tell which player won? Yeah, the player that likes the balls.

6. Madison Keys back on the court with Lindsay Davenport makes us smile. And if she doesn’t kill her coach with a blistering serve—even better.

7. Another interesting read from Rotterdam, and thanks to journalist David Avakian for posting. So, Grigor is losing some serious sleep over his loss to Nadal in Australia. Which means he probably won’t sleep well in Rotterdam tonight after losing to David Goffin. That said, he’s having a great year!

8. A piece of under-the-radar tennis news from this week in Doha. Sascha Bajin is now hitting with Caroline Wozniacki? Is it any wonder that Caro is into the final at Doha?

9. Genie Bouchard has learned a lot about modelling this year. Though we think she’s a natural.

10. Our favorite player Valentine on Twitter came from Nico Almagro. Very sweet photo and sentiment.

11. (Because this one goes to 11) Last but certainly not least—Latvia’s Anastasija Sevastova loses her head in Doha. Get a grip, girl!
