This year the WTA has returned to Budapest after a three-year absence. The tournament is owned and hosted by the Hungarian Tennis Federation.
Babos will bid for her first title since 2012 when she meets Lucie Safarova of the Czech Republic in the final. Safarova defeated Germany’s Carina Witthoeft, 6-4, 6-3 on Saturday.
Safarova, owner of seven career titles, is 2-0 lifetime vs. Babos.
