Li Na and Dominika Cibulkova reunited in Wuhan to recreate their 2014 Australian Open final for a new film about the two-time Grand Slam champion's life.

Li Na powered past Cibulkova, 7-6 (3), 6-0, in the Australian Open final.

It was the second Grand Slam championship for Li, who dethroned defending champion Francesca Schiavone in the 2011 Roland Garros final becoming the first Chinese Grand Slam singles champion.

Overall, Li Na won all seven of her meetings with Cibulkova. The pair remain friends.

“Same, same but just NOT the same,” Cibulkova wrote in this Instagram post. “So excited and proud to be invited to play my part in an upcoming movie about Li Na. Two days of filming in Wuhan right now is surreal and magical as it brings back so many memories. I truly miss you on tour my friend (even though I lost to you every single time!).”

Two-time major champion and soon to be International Tennis Hall of Famer Li Na is featured in a new extended MasterCard advertisement that marks a breakthrough acting performance for the former star.

Directed by Peter Chan, the short film features Li Na starring as herself in an emotional performance.
