Roger Federer didn’t just make news off the court on Sunday at Roland Garros. The Swiss legend also made some news on the court by tying Ai Sugiyama’s record of consecutive Grand Slams played with 62. Federer is already six clear of the all-time record for consecutive Slams played by a male—he did that at the 2014 Australian Open when he played his 57th consecutive Slam to nudge past South Africa’s Wayne Ferreira’s previously held record of 56.

Federer’s game, meanwhile, was every bit as flashy as his summer colors of pink and purple (those are pink shorts, right?). Check out this devilish sky hook smash from Federer that leaves his opponent Alejandro Falla flat-footed and with no reply.

Also proving that they’ve got some game on Sunday at Roland Garros were Simona Halep and Kei Nishikori. Halep was tested by Evgeniya Rodina of Russia, winning in two tough sets, but she put forth some of her trademark defensive genius on this scrambling play, while Nishikori looked every bit amazing as Novak Djokovic on the backhand side with this running, sliding winner against Paul-Henri Mathieu.
