Federer’s Behind-the-Back Beauty vs. Kohlschreiber in Halle



Roger Federer had some difficulty finding his footing in Halle today, but he had his regal sense of balance—both mentally and physically—on this point. Watch as Federer elects to avoid the quick change of direction and instead opts for the mind-blowing behind-the-back lob against Philipp Kohlschreiber during his first-round victory at the Gerry Weber Open.

The lob was good enough to make things difficult for the German, and Federer was ready to hammer the forehand winner on the next shot.
