Goerges Admonishes Pro-Romanian Crowd after Bucharest Final

After a tough loss to Irina-Camelia Begu in the Bucharest final, Germany’s Julia Goerges lectured Romanian fans about sportsmanship. She simply could not resist.

“I’m a bit disappointed about the cheering from you guys,” Goerges said. “I know it’s tough and you always go with your home country people and I totally agree [with that] but sometimes think about sportsmanship and being respectful to the opponent, too.”
