One of the fiercest skirmishes of the Australian Open didn't occur on court.
It happened in the crowd.
Watch: Tomic Trashes Hewitt
Moments after Aryna Sabalenka dismissed Katie Boulter, 6-3, 6-4, in the second round, the 11th-seeded Belarusian showed her appreciation for Aussie fans tossing her headband into the crowd.
That set off a fierce tug-of-war between two ladies in the front row showing dogged determination to the sweat-soaked souvenir.
Jedd Zetzer captured a crazy scene captioning his tweet "Two old ladies fighting over Aryna Sabalenka's headband, which she threw into the crowd!"
The prolonged pull-fest eventually ended in a draw: Security guards on scene took the headband away and escorted both ladies back their respective corners, er, out of Melbourne Arena.
