Croatia’s 18-year-old sensation Borna Coric is not lacking confidence ahead of his 2015 ATP World Tour campaign. The world No. 95 tells the Times of India that he believes he’s headed for the top 50 this season, and that nothing less than being world No. 1 will satisfy him before his career is said and done.

“Currently, I'm the best of my generation. Making the top 50 within the next few months seems a realistic goal for me now," Coric said in an interview.
The Croatian is currently the only under-18 player inside the ATP’s top 100. The next-closest player is Germany’s Alexander Zverev, who at 17 years of age is ranked No. 134 in the world.
"Playing tennis to break into the top-20 has never been a goal," he added. "It is meaningless to play a sport, if it's not for becoming the No 1 world player."
After upsetting Rafael Nadal en route to the semifinals at last year’s Swiss Basel Indoors, Coric has cracked the top 100 and become high on the list of players to watch in 2015. What the 6’1” 175-lb teenager lacks in size he most certainly makes up for in athleticism, endurance and swagger. That much has already been witnessed during his deep runs at last year’s Umag event and then Basel.
Now, it’s up for Coric to take the next step and consistently prove himself on the ATP Tour. Coric, to be sure, is a long ways away from the elite status of world No. 1 Novak Djokovic, but the Croatian believes there are similarities between the games of the two baseliners. "I think my game is quite similar to Djokovic's,” he said. “I move well, I don't miss many balls, I'm a fighter and my backhand is my best shot.”
