Worst Match Point in Tennis History?


For all of those in favor of players not being allowed to catch errant ball tosses—this is for you. Watch as Kiki Bertens gets caught in the act of wanting to catch her bad ball toss before she realizes that it is not an option. So what does she do? She crumples under the “heaviness” of the toss and serves up a double-fault on match point in IPTL action. Ooof!

This was the point that decided the December 3rd battle between the Singapore Slammers and the Indian Aces.

Even Bertens had a good laugh about it!
