Tennis’s new bad boy took his schtick to a whole new level on Wednesday night in Montreal. During his three-set victory over Stan Wawrinka, which was a heated battle from the start, Nick Kyrgios muttered a lewd, inflammatory statement about Wawrinka (and a few other innocent bystanders) that was picked up by on-court microphones.
We won’t repeat or post the actual video of what Kyrgios said, but if you’re curious, and old enough, you can view a video that contains the actual audio here.
After the match Kyrgios was asked to comment about his actions, and he seemd to be caught off guard. "He was getting a bit lippy with me," was Kyrgios' explanation. "I just said it."
