Top-seededand ten-time champion Rafael Nadal and wild card Novak Djokovic have been drawn into the same quarter at Barcelona. For the second straight week the rivals find themselves in the same section, and this week the draw is trickiest for Nadal who will have to face former two-time Barcelona champion Kei Nishikori in the third round (provided he and Nishikori advance).

Djokovic, who elected to take a wild card into Barcelona after losing in the third round at Monte-Carlo to Dominic Thiem, will face either Federico Delbonis or a qualifier in the second round after a bye.

The Serb is making his first appearance at Barcelona since 2006.

Nadal will face either Andreas Haider-Maurer or Roberto Carballes Baena in the second round after a bye.
